Position: quality coordinator and dietician, Dining Services
Years at Maryland: 13, all with Dining Services
Beneficiary of her gift through the Faculty Staff Campaign: Healthy Workers Program
Why she contributes: "They provide medical care for those who are uninsured who work at the university. It's mainly contingent I employees, some contingent II. I'm the coordinator for the program in our department," where many do not have health insurance.
Schrimpe says that though the program doesn't receive a lot of publicity, it provides a valuable service for university employees.
